Sweden´s 3rd position

Sweden’s 3rd position in 2011 Eurovision Song Contest is starting to pay off to young singer Eric Saade. The song Popular is honouring its name and besides making Sweden go back to leading Eurovision rankings, a fact that did not happen since Charlotte Nilsson’s victory in Israel in 1999, has snatched the crown to a local song New tomorrow” from eurovision danish contestant group A Friend in London.

Danish charts seem to surrender to popularity of eurovision songs as after Eric Saade and A Friend in London ranking #1 and #2 respectively we can find british boyband Blue in #12, winning couple Eli & Nikki from Azerbaijan are charting 16th with their Running Scared, surprising Jedward from Ireland are 27th slot with Lipstick while last year,s Eurovision contest german singer Lena is next in position 36 with taken by a stanger.

Other songs from more distant countries are also finding their way to the Danish chart such as Love in Rewind from Bosnian veteran and well know composer and singer Dino Merlin that is placing his Eurovision entry song in position 86.

Outside the Danish borders, many music charts have been impacted by songs coming from the Eurovision song contest. Jedward leads irish charts with rank#1 while Stella Mwangi yet resists in place 20th in Norgegian list.
